**Union Budget 2025 Overview:** On Saturday, February 1, 2025, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled her eighth budget. This announcement included several significant provisions aimed at benefiting the country's middle class. One of the most notable changes is the exemption of income tax for earnings up to ₹12 lakh.

The Finance Minister indicated that the Finance Bill will be presented next week.

The initial segment of the Parliament's Budget session commenced on January 31 and will run until February 13, 2025. The second segment is scheduled to start on March 10 and wrap up on April 4, 2025.

**Key Highlights from Budget 2025**  
**New Tax Announcement:** In the 2025 Budget presentation, Nirmala Sitharaman proposed updated tax rates, which specify that income up to ₹12 lakh will be exempt from income tax under the new tax framework.  
**Capital Expenditure:** According to the budget projections for FY2025-26, India's capital expenditure (Capex) is set to increase to ₹11.21 crore, up from ₹11.11 lakh crore previously estimated for FY2024-25.
